The Residential Towers of MetroCity in 1. Levent

Metrocity Millennium is the name its builder, Yüksel İnşaat, uses for the two residential towers of the MetroCity complex on Büyükdere Caddesi in 1. Levent, Istanbul, and the flats are often listed simply as MetroCity Residence. The complex combines a shopping centre, an office tower and the two residential towers, designed by the architects Doğan Tekeli and Sami Sisa.

The scheme was designed in 1994, construction began in 1997, and Hürriyet reported 203 flats in the two towers when the shopping centre opened in 2003. Yüksel İnşaat describes the towers as 27 storeys each, on a site of about 24,000 m² with 210,200 m² of total construction. Metrosite is listed as the developer. The address is Büyükdere Caddesi No:171, Esentepe Mahallesi, in the Şişli district, and the towers have been lived in for over two decades.

Location and Transport

MetroCity sits at the southern end of the Levent business district, near Zincirlikuyu, with Kanyon as its neighbour. The complex connects directly to Levent metro station, served by the M2 line and by the M6 line to Etiler and Boğaziçi Üniversitesi. M2 links the towers with Gayrettepe, Şişli-Mecidiyeköy and Taksim to the south, and with 4. Levent and Maslak to the north.

Zincirlikuyu, with its metrobus stop, lies at the southern end of this stretch of Büyükdere Caddesi, where the main roads connect to the 15 July Martyrs (Bosphorus) Bridge and the O-1 ring road. The offices of Levent, Esentepe and Maslak are along the same avenue.

Homes and Amenities

Yüksel İnşaat gives flat sizes of 121 m² to 370 m². In its project description, each tower has four high-speed lifts, a generator, central heating and cooling with a VRV system, security and internet infrastructure, and residents have sports facilities and a 24-hour doctor and ambulance service.

The builder also describes a direct lift connection from the Metrocity Millennium lobby to the car park, where a floor with space for 450 cars is reserved for residents. As these services were described at the time of construction, we confirm the current services, the monthly management fee (aidat) and the parking allocation for each flat before an offer.

Buying at Metrocity Millennium

The towers suit buyers who want a large flat in central Levent with a metro station in the building, including professionals working along Büyükdere Caddesi and families who value space and secure parking. Because the complex has been occupied since the early 2000s, purchases are generally resales between private owners, and prices vary with floor, view, size and the condition of each flat.
