Ritz-Carlton Branded Residences in Nişantaşı

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Istanbul is a 22-floor branded residential tower in Nişantaşı, in the Şişli district of Istanbul, with 121 residences. Bilgili Holding bought the former Yapı Kredi Bank building in June 2014 and redeveloped it completely through its affiliate BLG Capital. The original tower was designed by Doğan Tekeli and Sami Sisa after a 1972 architectural competition; the redevelopment was led by architect Tanju Özelgin of TO Design Studio, with interiors by Mahmut Anlar's studio Geo_ID. The developer reports that construction is complete and the building is in operation, and the project is presented as the first Ritz-Carlton branded residences in Europe. It is a separate building from The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul hotel at Süzer Plaza.

Location and Transport

The tower stands on a hilltop at the end of Valikonağı Caddesi, one of the main streets of Nişantaşı. Nişantaşı and neighbouring Teşvikiye are known for fashion boutiques, galleries, cafés and restaurants, and Osmanbey is next door. Osmanbey station on the M2 metro line, under Halaskargazi Avenue, serves the area. The M2 runs north to Şişli-Mecidiyeköy, where it connects with the M7 line and the Metrobüs, and on to Levent and Maslak, and south to Taksim, so the main business districts are reachable without a car. By road, Mecidiyeköy and Zincirlikuyu connect with the D-100 highway and the 15 July Martyrs Bridge to the Asian side.

Homes and Amenities

The 121 residences include six penthouse triplexes with private pools and Bosphorus views and eight garden duplexes, with apartments on the floors in between. A later release of top-tier units, the Skyline Collection, offered penthouses with three to eight bedrooms, saunas and steam rooms, and garden duplexes with two or three bedrooms.

Residents have hotel-style services: concierge, valet parking and housekeeping, together with a spa, a Turkish bath, a wellness centre, an indoor pool, a fitness centre open around the clock and an outdoor children's park. The building also has its own art gallery, which has co-hosted ArtWeeks Istanbul and runs an artist-in-residence programme.

Buying at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Istanbul

Buyers are typically high-net-worth individuals and families, from Turkey and abroad, who want a central Nişantaşı address with branded service and security. A purchase of at least USD 400,000 can qualify for Turkish citizenship by investment, subject to the unit's eligibility. The developer uses the Ritz-Carlton name under licence; Bosphorus Brokers is an independent broker and is not connected with the developer, the brand or the hotel company.
